goblueM
Now i'm reading he won't participate in ANY combine drills... not even the 40. What is he thinking? What a terrible decision
koonie
he is in the process of changing his throwing motion. he won't show anything until his pro day. not really sure how his 40 time is relevant unless he gets moved to tight end or something. JBMasterAngler
The combine as a whole is a joke!
klecker
Its a good spot for most in the middle to later rounds to make a case for them selves. Top picks want to be on their own turf when they show off.
mrklean
tebow is a joke, i hope he flops
TR21HP
JBMasterangler,The combine allowed me to showcase my skills and enabled me to sign with the Chargers, when I probably wouldn't have been given the chance otherwise so I guess I wouldn't refer to it as a joke. But I do agree it has gotten out of hand as far as using pure athleticism as the main criteria to be signed versus being a football player is concerned. james_walleye
Alot of these guys don't go to the combine anymore. Your a QB and you get what, 15 throws to showcase what you have? These guys are opting to be seen at their college pro days where the focus is on them alone in a place where they are comfortable. Tebow knows exactly what he is doing. Born2Fish
Yeah he isn't stupid. If anyone can tell me something about a combine that they have heard other than Chris Johnsons 4.2 40 yrd dash in the past 5 years, and how any of it has effected a players position in the draft please let me know. goblueM
i think not working out means you have something to hide. the teams are going to evaluate you and find out anyways so why not? I think not participating is a red flag
james_walleye
For someone that is considered a relatively high draft selection the only thing that can happen in a place where you are given just a few reps and a place where you arent comfortable is for your draft stock to go down and alot of guys arent risking this anymore. Its a good place for someone considered to be a mid round pick to work out, make a good showing, and move up the board. I dont think its a red flag, alot of guys in recent years havent worked out at the combine and they save it all for the pro day where they get alot of reps in a place where they are comfortable with a better chance of getting in a comfortable groove. Its a "business decision".
rayguy
Can't be to much of a joke. The Vikes have sent 60 people to the combine.

mrklean
38" vertical best jump for a QB ever
james_walleye
Physically he did a great job from what i've heard as well. Tebow, Bradford, McCoy, Clausen, and LeFevour, none of them threw the ball at all.
Jim Uran
Jemarcus Russell didn't throw the ball either at the combine, worked wonders for him, too bad for the Raiders... lol
