Need bearing help

So, I got the power steering pump put on the Lil Mrs Envoy and took it to the shop to have a new bearing put in the AC compressor. Turns out the shop can not find the correct bearing. GM will only sell the entire clutch to include the bearing for 300 bucks but that is a bit steep for just a bearing. I know that there must be some where out there to get this bearing or one of you may have a part number/supplier for that bearing. It is an 03 Envoy with the I6 in it. Any help would be appreciated! I would much rather spend 30 bucks for a bearing than 300 for a clutch! Thanks././Jimbo

Some of the bearings are not serviceable without replacing the clutch. Depending on mileage and use, the clutch may be suspect as well. If looking for a less expensive option look to the after market ie. a napa or other. I would not put a recycled A/C compressor on my vehicle. JMO.

I just put a recycled a/c compressor on the Saturn. $25 at u-pull.

Duckslayer, There's a place in Mankato that specializes in bearings, metric and S.A.E. Generally, If they don't have it in stock or can't get it, that's the end of the search.

Whats the Name of the business?

Most of the major bearing companies can help you. They need to see the old bearing or get a brand name and number off of it or the exact dimensions. If they can't find a replacement it doesn't exist. Just look in the phone book under "bearings"

You might try "Precision Bearing". They have a store in Lincoln, NE and we could get absolutely any bearing we needed. You can E-mail them with the size you need and see if they have them.
