Having fun fishing

What are your favorite traditions, games, and pranks to pass the time while in the ice house? Have any fun drinking games you play? (Im sure this topic has been on here, but I cant find it in the search feature)

One of our rules is you take a drink every time you miss a fish. If you try to hide it and someone catches you then you have to chug your drink. We only do this when staying on the ice for the night.

A group of us go on an ice fishing trip 10 guys total in 5 portables. Every hour someone in the portable has to move, taking nothing with him and go to another house. Once in the new house you use whatever the vacated fisherman was using, and enjoy whatever brand of beer they were drinking. It's a great way to test others equipment, but gets to be a little tough if someone has a really cheap taste in beer.

We try to bring a bottle of Dr. Mcgulicuty (sp?) and pass it around every time someone catches a fish, misses a fish, marks a fish, takes a pee, baits their hook, looks outside, hears the ice crack, uses the word "the", etc...

Here is my fave.. We have a "Race to 5 World Championships... "

Rules are whatever the challenger wishes.. Its a race to see whom can catch 5 fish the quickest.. Its amazing how hard you fish during an event.. LOL

Some rules we have done.. race to 5 no bait allowed..

-1 fish for each non-targeted fish(IE pout during a walleye event)

The winner is the World Champion and has to then wait for someone to challenge them.. Often times, the bet is a signed $1..

When your buddies are busy with something and not tending their rods you quickly reel up their line, hook on an empty can of beer, and let her back down. When they come back to the rod they see the bobber down and get all excited. "Wow! I've got a lunker on". That excitement fades when they see whats on the end of the line. Gets a good laugh every time.

I like putting the old school depthfinders on random people's deadstick lines. They slide right down to the hook really fast and its very quick to do. The rod doubles over and its game on. Gets quite a reaction.

Otherwise playing hockey while tip up fishing is pretty sweet. I cant stop real well though so I sure its interesting to watch me try to get to stop at the tip up.
