Gulp Alive Minnow Heads

Anyone using these, anyone having any luck. Was thinking of getting a jar for those betweener trips when I dont want to run to the bait store.

They are awesome, I use the fatheads and wont use waxies anymore. I've got 4 or 5 crappies over 14iches, and 0ne over 15. They work great with a gill pill.

For me the jury is still out. I opened a jar on the ice today and no takers. I was on fish and the Gulp waxies did all the work on my sunnies and crappies. ???????

I love them. I use them on a Frostee spoon and the out-fished real minnow heads. I was on a hot bite but with lots of little gills. So I switched over to the larger spoon and started catching only the 7-8" sunnies with a few nice crappies mixed in. I had live fatheads, so I tried them and the Gulp seemed to work better. Lasted longer too.

I have had pretty good results with them for crappies & sunnies this winter. Nice to have around for quick trips to the lake instead of going out of your way for a bait shop.

What color heads do you guys use? I found a jar of the red heads and haven't had a chance to use them. I was reluctant to buy them because they didn't look like the original color of a fat head.

I picked up a jar of Gulp minnows and couldn't get over the stink of it (smells like a lady in dire need of a shower -- down there).

I didn't have any luck, either -- but it's been slow all year for me. I guess the advantage here is that if there's any twitch on the line - you know it's a fish vs. a peeved minnow making a dash for something.

I stick with live minnows, with an aerated bucket, i can keep them alive for a week+ and not worry about the next time i can get to the bait store a few miles down the road.

Has anybody had success with gulp for perch and what kind was it.

Gulp Alive Fish Fry 1" in Red and green is a favorite of mine. Haven't tried the heads bu since i love gill pills i may have to try em!

Cool, what colors are you guys using? Natural, or more towards the red glows and chartreuse?

I use both the minnow heads and waxies in natural colors and have had success with both. I still haven't purchased real waxies this winter and I don't plan to.
