Mount it you may never get one that nice again. If you do if 1 is good two is doubley good. Personaly Ive had to release a nice 29 incher {Mille lacs slot at the time) but if the right fish comes along I'll mount it almost no matter the size.

Knew an old man once who had 5 fish mounted nothing big but the stories were monsters.

AS said before, it's your fish, the biggest walleye my dad ever caught was 6# 10oz. He fished lake Michigan for 6yrs had 1 salmon that went 28#, He had talked about wishing he had mounted it. He passed 2 yrs ago, it still would have been nice. I mounted a wood duck most would not, not barred out really well, but it was the first time my dad hunted in the rain, and with me. Great memories, that's the point.

Have not had good luck mounting walleyes.

First big walley caught was mounted, a 9 pounder out of Mille Lacs. Second big walleye was also mounted a localy caught 9 pounder. Both 29 inches. Both mounts were stolen from a hobby farm in Southern MN while on the market. To make things worse same year had to two mounted 2lb Red Lake crappies destroyed.

Caught, kept, and ate a 10.3 pounder 30 inches out of Canada. It was a poor choice, I know. Caught on the third day of a 10 day trip.

Three years ago caught and released a 10.5lb 30 incher out of Zipell Bay Resort. It was a great feeling to see her go back. Released a 27 incher from LOW this Winter.
