desert_bulls
I'm looking to get a transom trolling motor this year. I'm looking at either the Motorguide Varimax or Minn Kota Endura. I have a bow mount, so I don't need anything real fancy. What I have been reading about the varimax is that it had a lot of problems last year the the motor continue to run after the switch was turned off. The endura I have read are nice little motors, but for the money, the Varimax seems like a better deal. So, I guess my question is does anybody know if Motorguide has done changed anything to their motors this year the will help eliminate that problem. I have looked for an email to contact motorguide but I can't seem to find their email address anywhere.

FinsandFeathers
Yep, Minn kota all the way! That being said, buy one soon. Because they (Johnson Outdoors) will be out sourcing the Endura to China because of the inability to compete in pricing to those already being made out of country. A sad state of affairs - we really need to support our companys (especially local) even if it costs a bit more - if we dont, the cost will be much greater in families livelyhoo's.
