Iron Cowboy
Man I'm so glad the season is starting again soon. Who do you guys think the changes will effect the most? I think more of the old car handling will help the 24 be back in true form. Unfortunately I think the changes will help the rat be more of a rat than ever and classy clean drivers like Burton and Martin could be hurt. Hopefully its only for the short term until what goes around comes back around One things for sure in the fact that they needed to do something to separate them and liven things up. I'm hoping it makes smoke himself again and not so quiet. and it takes the strangle hold the 48 team had away. Cant wait to see, what do you guys predict? lawdog
Unless they change the chase format and reset the schedule to change the tracks in it, in my opinion 48 will ALWAYS be the favorite. They are so good at those venues its all but impossible to beat them. There are many weaker tracks for them, but who cares? They only use the first 26 races as test and tune for when it matters anyway... Used to be you had to run all the races on all types tracks to be a NASCAR champion, now you just have to run those ten. Pretty lame in my book, but its not 48's fault, it just happened to play into their dominant tracks.
gregg52
ya i agree lawdog i think knaus uses the first 26 for test sessions now that they cant test the chase is ok but ithink they need to make winning worth more point or the top 3 spots worth more and then you keep those point in the chase or something like that or you keep your bonus points for leading the most something to make those 26 races more important guys that get off to good start and get in that top 5 can kinda cruise til the big 10 come i know every driver say he want to win every race but these days makin the chase is more important than winnini'm not sure but i think almost like a top 15 every race will get you in and i think they should change those last ten throw a road course in there maybe 2 talledegas things happen there lolas far whos going to run good with the new spoilers the same teams that ran good with the wing top teama are top teams

I think you will see #24 kicking butt along with... JJ unfortunately, Smoke and Carl Edwards (NASCAR will make sure the Ford's are good). Now the overall Champion could include these and Denny (very underated). These five drivers I believe are the best true drivers in the sport!! Juan Pablo most likely should be in this group but, with EGR it will not happen...

spearchucker
I don't know how the changes can hurt Martin. He can drive anything. He has won a lot of races in the spoiler configuration.

Bryce
Not quite sure how they will be able to top the non-stop coverage of Waltrip yesterday. Actually quit watching the second race for a bit it was so annoying and no mention that he almost took out a couple cars with a legitimate shot at doing anything this year. LMITOUT
I have it on too. Petty is horrible. Nobody can do wrong in his eyes and he has an apology or an excuse for everything and everyone. Hey Petty, just call it like you see it instead of trying to shelter everybody from the glaring truth.
