rayguy
Where is this years index? Used to be on the dnr HSOforum but not this year. Anyone know whats up with this?
Sorgy
I remember looking for it about this time last year and it was not an issue at this point in the season so it was not posted yet. It did show up later in the year. Around the Cook area the snow depths were 10"-12" range up until the rains and snow yesterday and today. I have no clue where they are at at this time. The deer up until now have had an easy year in that area.Steve
Bear55
Sorgy is right i think it shows up a little closer to late Feb or early March if my memory serves me right.
Musky Buck
I am thankful a bit for October now, at least the standing corn is available and not iced under, watched some deer this morning and their hooves were not breaking through, they were struggling to walk where they were. lcornice
It's up now:WSI Spreadsheet WSI Map It gets updated every 2 weeks. For those who don't know, you accrue 1 point for snow depths at least 15" and/or 1 point for temperatures 0 and below. Points are cumulative and WSI values between 100-180 are considered a moderate winter. Below that is mild, above severe.
