Did Carney seriously write another article about Buffalo? My ODN subscription just ran out, so I haven't seen it. This guy is so far off base it's unreal. He wrote an article about Mille Lacs this past summer that was absolute garbage. How does the ODN continue to let him write this [PoorWordUsage]???

He also wrote an article about how he can't kill ducks with today's steel shot. He suggested we needed to buy the expensive tungsten or bismuth shells. I think he is running out of info to rerun in the weekly column.

The steel shot article was out there. Basically to some it up you can't kill big Northern mallards with steel shot. You just cripple them.

The internet is the worst thing that every happened as far as fishing goes. Now one guys posts he caught a bunch of fish on Buffalo lake. And 2,000 people read it.

Personally I think they should put special daily limits on metro lakes. 2 walleyes, 2 northerns, 5 crappies, 5 sunfish etc. Too many Metro lakes get pounded way to hard to sustain a good fishery. just my opinion.

I'd have to agree to some extent on that one. It is REALLY frustrating to get out, do all the leg work, find fish and then have one brainless yahoo post all over the Web where, when, how deep, what lure, etc...and then watch all the weekenders come RUNNING to the "hot spots." I'm glad people are getting out. I'm glad the "weekenders" take up the sport. I just wish people would go about it with conservation and fellow fishermen in mind. I'm getting tired of overhearing conversations about "the 50 crappies we took out of such-and-such a lake the other day." Maybe I'm just bitter that I'm not doing so hot this year thus far; maybe I make a valid point. I'm going to wet a line...

They are biting not fast and furious, but 2 of us caught 4 Walleyes between 12" and 16" Last Night in 7 hours of fishing.

That still doesn't make for rockin fishing. 2guys + 7hrs = 14hrs of fishing. 4 fish / 3.5 hrs per fish. ODN makes it sound like the fish are jumping out of the holes.

and then you would be swimming. I guess you would have to swim anyways to collect them or just need a long handled net.
