My son dropped one of my decoys in the hole and it "swam" away today. Anybody know how far this may have gone outside of the hole?? It is a fairly heavy decoy and I am in about 13 feet of water. It is brightly colored but I can't see it right now even looking way out from inside the house.

Fortunately it is a $15 sporting goods variety decoy if I can't recover it...

You're going to want to drop your camera down near the decoy and then drop a jigging spoon or something with a treble hook on it down over your decoy. Just watch the camera and try to get a hook into the eye you tie your line to on the decoy. After that all you have to do is reel it up and put it back to work.

he said what I was going to, treble with a camera is your best bet, hopefully you know which direction it went so you have a general idea of where to start lookin. Good luck I dropped a trout decoy I made last year in 25fow its a gonner o well you might have a lot better chance in 13fow tho smile good luck!!
