LED lights

They are flexible. I have mine tied to the pole on the bar above my head and it lights up my Canvas Craft Lodge 2 man just fine. In fact, its quite bright.

The interior of my Canvas Craft is white so in a portable with a darker interior, it will be a bit less.

I can tie a small panfish jig to 4# test with the light on.

These lights are very bright in my portable.

If I can get some time tomorrow, I will try and set it up and take a photo.

But you can be assured, they are as bright or brighter than any light out these for sale of this type.

Definitely. I'd even vote for making them so that there was an easy option of connecting two or more of them end to end. I know this adds cost, but it adds a lot of options. (Sometimes you realize you need twice as much light, but sometimes you'd like to split them up into two areas or two houses...)

I have the Luminater led lights above the bar over my head. I have the AA battery type light across the back bar. I use the back AA light the most r while I am fishing.

If I want serious light to do something, then I turn on the Luminator above my head.

The luminator is too bright to fish with on over ones head as it lights the holes up way to much. Heck, when it is on, its light daylight.

With all that being stated, I do also have a white inside on my portable so it does light up a bit easier but I am without doubt that those two would do a fine job in any portable.

Thats in a 2 man too.

i just received 3 of these light I ordered 3 days ago

I Made a big T out of 1 1/4 pvc one t and 2 45 /--|--\ then hot glued the light on the ends. One would have worked fine but three is Super Super Bright. I can see everything in my clam command post. I sealed all the wires in the pvc then stuck out 2 screws for power I can put aligator clips on the screws to run down to vex or other battery. With my gell cell it should run 9 straight hours or 150 on marine battery.

I bought the LED lights that you attach to a 12V battery. Used them once, they worked pretty good but was hoping for a little bit brighter.

The next time I went out, the sun started to go down so I went to reach for the lights to plug them onto the battery. Unfortunately, like a dummy I had ripped the cord off the connectors when I was unplugging them the previous night. Sure enough, the plugs were still stuck on my battery. I'm hoping I'll be able to fix it.

One can fix that in no time. Just crimp on new ends.

The Luminator lights are brighter than the others if one is looking for alot of light. I get by in my portable with one battery style.

I also have the Luminator one in the house to but it is a bit bright.

I have ran these lights in my Otter all winter. My house gets used almost daily and some times twice a day. These lights have lasted and Im still on the same batteries on the battery pack ones. Lights are still as bright as day one.

Harvey Ill be ordering another set or 2 of the battery packed ones. Im very pleased with the performance I got from them. Thanks for getting us a great product.

I picked up one of the Luminators a couple of weeks ago and it should finally get some use tonight. I just have to figure out how I'm going to rig it up because I don't want to zip tie it to the support pole like I did with my old BHK lights.

I hung mine in the velcro on my Otter poles and then electric taped the battery pack to the pole and put some tape in between the velcro so they didnt hang so much and catch my hat all the time. They havent moved all winter and every light is still working. Im very impressed. I have had many lighting systems and this is the best I have used by far. I just cant believe the life I got on the batteries, they must have a super low draw.

    • Sorry to hear that Duff. Will give my GSP's an extra scratch behind the ear for you guys today
    • Aw, man, sorry to hear that.  Shed some tears and remember her well.  They all take a piece of our hearts with them; some more than others.
    • yes sorry for your loss..  our dogs are always special...
    • Truly sorry to hear that duffman! I know that feeling.  Keep the good memories
    • Chamois passed away this weekend a couple days short of her 13th bday. What a great dog to hang out with here at home and on distant adventures. Gonna miss ya big time my little big girl.
    • Sounds pretty sweet, alright. I will check them out, thanks.
    • If you really want to treat your wife (and yourself) with a remote operated trolling motor, the Minn Kota Ulterra is about easy as it gets.  Auto stow and deploy is pretty awesome.  You just have to turn the motor on when you go out and that the last time you have to touch it.   24V 80lb.  60 inch shaft is probably the right length for your boat.  They ain’t cheap - about $3k - but neither one of you would have to leave your seat to use it all day.
    • Wanderer, thanks for your reply. I do intend for it to be 24 volt, with a thrust of 70-80. Spot lock is a must (my wife is looking forward to not being the anchor person any more).  With my old boat we did quite a lot of pulling shad raps and hot n tots, using the trolling motor. Unlikely that we will fish in whitecaps, did plenty of that when I was younger. I also need a wireless remote, not going back to a foot pedal. We do a fair amount of bobber fishing. I don't think I will bother with a depth finder on the trolling motor. I am leaning toward moving my Garmin depth finder from my old boat to the new one, just because I am so used to it and it works well for me. I am 70 years old and kinda set in my ways...
    • Dang, new content and now answers.   First, congrats on the new boat!   My recommendation is to get the most thrust you can in 24V, assuming a boat that size isn’t running 36V.  80 might be tops?  I’m partial to MinnKota.     How do you plan to use the trolling motor is an important question too.     All weather or just nice weather?   Casting a lot or bait dragging?   Bobber or panfish fishing?   Spot lock?  Networked with depth finders?  What brand of depth finders?
