Heater

What is a good heater that has like instant heat and takes a small 1 pound propane tank. Somethin different then the Mr heater buddy ones.

not sure how much heat you're looking for but if it's for a one man house mr heater has a sunflower type one the MH12 basically a cooker but on top of the tank,if your looking for a small amount of heat coleman sportcat's run off one lb tanks

Like alot of heat either outside or in a portable it will be.

Jigsawedeyes, The MR. HEATER /COOKER sunflower on top of a 5 or 11 lb tank!! If you're not liking the 'Buddy' or Mr. Heater line of heaters, I really dont know where to direct you, other than a forced air furnace. What kind of a structure is this for?? Phred52

I had 1 more suggestion before that, stay home in front of the furnace vent. Instant heat, lots of it and little work! Fishin' ain't as good, but your warm.

Have you looked at or consider a Mr. Heater Base Camp heater or are you looking to get away from the mr heater brand. I believe coleman makes a small heater similar to the base camp by mr heater.

I use a coleman buddy heater, but when it was -28 on the lake the other morning I used my 2 burner camp stove and to my suprise it was AWESOME. I bought the (cheapy) from Gander and I think it put out twice as much heat as my buddy heater...

you are cracking me up ....... I love sitting in front of the heater, becareful you might melt your Columbia Jacket. Buddies can't get it done, Mr. Heaters, single, double, or triple all kick butt and "someone plz open a window"....

Like in this -20 to - 40 outside sitting on a pail on the ice. I had the Mr heater buddy and it didnt heat for nothin. Is there a certain btu to look for and who carries them?

Mr htr/ckr for sure! Dont understand sitting out at -20 to -40 but thats your buisiness. They make fish houses now...

I've never seen anything else other than the heater/cooker that puts out decent heat, uses a one pound tank, and is not a buddy heater. Open a window (or vent) if you're using it inside a shack though!
