HEY ANYONE TRY THESE I GOT THESE AT ST PAUL ICE FISHING SHOW.

THEY ARE THE NEW GENERATION OF ICE FISHING TECHNOLOGY .I WAS SKEPTICAL AT FIST AT SHOW BUT PURCHASED THEM ANY WAY AND ALL THE CLAIMS FROM THE GUYS AT SHOW ARE TRUE. I LIKE THE IDEA OF NOT HAVING TO HAVE FIVE BOBBERS OR CUT THEM TO FIT THE JIG.

ALSO WORKED WELL AND STOOD UP WELL THIS WEEKENDS -BELOW 0 TEMPS

HAS ANYONE USED THEM

I looked at them at the show. The only problem I could find is that for light bait like crappie fishing you have to weight the bobber. I asked the guys about it and they said when a fish bites the bobber goes down. Which isn't always the case with crappies as we all know. These guys have never heard of a crappie swimming up with a bait in it's mouth. They looked at me like I was making it up. It would be a great bobber for walleyes though.

like this it cost a lot more then you could ever imagine.

Buck Snort maybe you should invest in a new key board I think your caps is sticking! smile I have yet to have a ice buster get water loged and have had them in the whole for over 12 hours! I love and I have yet to buy anymore then the ones I started with two years ago. New things are great but i am not going to switch when I have something that works great.

I'm pretty well sold on Ice Busters. I have a bunch cut to different lengths and it only takes a few seconds to switch to the right length to balance the lure. I only wish Bruce Mosher (the inventer) would come out with brighter colors. Old eyes+low light= poor bobber watching late at night. Bright orange, hot pink, fire engine red, glow in the dark,,,Bruce, are you listening?

I HAVE BEEN PAYING MORE EVERY TIME I BUY THE YELLOW ICE BUSTERS.

IT IS NICE TO ONLY PAY ONCE AND HAVE IT LAST ALL SEASON AND NOT GET WATER LOGGED IN 4-5 HOUR AND WHEN YOU SQUEEZE THE WATER OUT IT SINKS LIKE A ROCK (ice buster bobbers )

That is the reason we do not allow posts that are negative toward any person or business.

You need to check more than your Caps button

I guess you are correct my caps where on sorry I forget that

means you are mad or something , not the case just bad eye site blush . I have always had to replace them at least once a day.

if you fish walley they don't need the weights .

the guy will tell you that he is not out to screw any one over just to make a sale. from what I know also this is a product that is made in minnesota not over seas . the older I get I'm turning to my dad! you must buy American made products. sorry off my soap box, but made in America means alot to me .

good fishing

Bump.

More bright colors, please.

tweed

Word. I have a hard time seeing the ice busters sometimes. Maybe a couple other colors would liven things up a bit. I have tried painting them but they are so flexible it flakes off.

I have seen the venoms but with a box full of ice busters its hard to buy more. Maybe if there was a couple of colors to choose from I would have a reason to buy them.

I have never had a problem with an ice buster bobber. I don't squeeze them (might end up like Of Mice & Men.) I've never had one lose its buoyancy.

Actually Black or Dark Blue would come in handy at times too. A lot of times a dark color helps against the white snow and ice.

Maybe a Candy Cane swirl Red/White? wink

Those Red and bright Yellow rubber 3/8 protective caps used on bolts and things can slip on top of the Busters..and add extra bright tops and a tad bit of top weight too.

Bucksnort, no harm, no foul, the point I am trying to make is you have every right to say you like whatever product you want. But not by flaming someone elses product like you did. Ice Busters are made of closed cell foam, they don't absorb water, they don't sink. I can get them for 1.50 each. They work great at a lot less money than the ones you like. New products are great, but there has to be a need or they have to do the same job at a lower cost. Me, I'll stick with what works for me.

+3 on the brighter colors or even some darker colors for Ice Busters. The yellow works well on most days, but in the evenings even with my lantern or LED's on it can be tough to see the lighter bites. I like to cut or use ones that just barely float to give the fish the least amount of resistance possible but this makes it harder to tell during low light!

I was also reading a couple of the posts about crappies swimming up with this bobber. I spoke to head designer himself about that and he said that he recomends pulling the weight out and it will lay right over on its side if bait is lifted up. Maybe the others didnt know. The reason for the weights was to eliminate the need for sinkers when using light lures. I think its a great option to have if that is your style of fishing. Keep the rubber on the ice!!

    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
    • I haven’t done any leaf springs for a long time and I can’t completely see the connections in your pics BUT I I’d be rounding up: PB Blaster, torch, 3 lb hammer, chisel, cut off tool, breaker bar, Jack stands or blocks.   This kind of stuff usually isn’t the easiest.   I would think you would be able to get at what you need by keeping the house up with Jack stands and getting the pressure off that suspension, then attack the hardware.  But again, I don’t feel like I can see everything going on there.
    • reviving an old thread due to running into the same issue with the same year of house. not expecting anything from yetti and I already have replacement parts ordered and on the way.   I am looking for some input or feedback on how to replace the leaf springs themselves.    If I jack the house up and remove the tire, is it possible to pivot the axel assembly low enough to get to the other end of the leaf spring and remove that one bolt?   Or do I have to remove the entire pivot arm to get to it? Then I also have to factor in brake wire as well then. What a mess   My house is currently an hour away from my home at a relatives, going to go back up and look it over again and try to figure out a game plan.           Above pic is with house lowered on ice, the other end of that leaf is what I need to get to.   above pic is side that middle bolt broke and bottom 2 leafs fell out here is other side that didnt break but you can see bottom half of leaf already did but atleast bolt is still in there here is hub assembly in my garage with house lowered and tires off when I put new tires on it a couple months ago. hopefully I can raise house high enough that it can drop down far enough and not snap brake cable there so I can get to that other end of the leaf spring.
