FL-18 not working right?

I picked up my second vexilar earlier this year around march and used say a total of 10hrs with it so far. Well the last two times out with a fully charged battery the FL-18 when in zoom mode or anytime will go crazy with all yellow screen and flicker and I can't see anything at all. It only seems to happen after about an hour after been on and then acts up. Has anybody else had problems with there FL-18? I have my back-up work horse FL-8 from 20 years ago still going strong but with this new unit its giving me issues. I've always liked my vexilar and can't fish without one. Oh, all the wires are firmly in place and checked them twice over maybe I just have a bad unit, your thoughts or experienced this?

Have you tried a different battery? Sometimes they will charge, but have very little capacity. Your symptoms sound like a weak battery to me.

Vexilar is located in Bloomington off of Old Shakopee road. I know they do tune ups\maintenance, but I am not sure of the cost.

I would also say the battery is causing this...

BATTERY is the cause. 99.9% sure. my battery died on me last time out and it did this so I shut it off for few min and turned it back on and it did it again. changed batery and the thing werx purrrrrrrrfect.

I had the same thing happen 2 weeks ago, I went out fishing and it was flickering yellow so i changed the battery in it and it works perfect! its the battery.
