Heater Cooker and 5 lb propane tank. How long will it last?

I just got a 5# (maybe 4.5), propane tank to use with the Mr. Heater/Cooker. How long do you think a tank will last on each setting?

on low I think I can get roughly 3-4hr/pound.

So I would say 15-20hrs on low.

I think that is a good estimate.

Thanks! I'm thinking of going out tomorrow in the blistering cold. I'm definitely going to bring a few extra 1# tanks, just in case.

I've got a 5#--couple times on the ice and then I make sure I have a back up the next time out. I run mine on low most of the time

1.5 is about right, maybe a little less. I've always figured 1hr high/ 2hr low and been pretty close. yes tommorrow will definely be a med- high day. typicaly mine is always on low too.

Where are the heating/cooling guys?? I know that there is a conversion rate for the btu to gallons/pounds per hour usage, but I can't remember it.

i have put are big buddy in the basement of are house. its been on low sense friday night and its still running and i have it hooked up to a 20 pounder.

The Mr. Heater HSOforum list running time per unit, how are these cookers? The only cooking mine does is in the portable, whew open a window or door !!!!!!!! Heaters have come a long way from collecting scraps of oak from cabinetshops and burning in a stove we used to buy at Holiday Stores years ago...

I have been using that exact setup for four years or so. I can't rely on it after 10 hours. That's when i refill it. I almost always run it on low.
