JAfish
After listening to Chilli pat himself on the back for the second half comback it caused me to not sleep so well. This morning I woke up with the solution for this team-- same as last year and the year before. FIRE CHILLI NOW!! Promote Bevell to head coach-offense and Frazier head coach-defense. Chilli acted like we won the game in the media conference after the game and only talked about the good things about the game and did not address any problems yet. If he does'nt address the problems from that game then I believe we can only expect the vikes to lose their next two games. Zyggi should not let this happen. MUSKY18
James:I AGREE!!!!! Give him a nice severance package and lets hire a coach that knows how to coach!I especially like the part of the press conference when the reporters asked him about Favre being mad about him sending in the goal line package and Favre wanted to stay spread. Next play lost yards......they go back to spread them out, Peterson walks into the end zone. But for some reason, Childress couldn't remember that. The reason he can't focus on any of the bad things is because he hasn't the mind power or coaching capabilities to fix them!!!Someone should tell Ziggy if he fires Chilly, he will get a new stadium......even if it's not true, we still get rid of him so its a win, win for us! BRULEDRIFTER
I also agree! However, we just signed the bum to a fat contract extention because of how great he is, remember! *insert vomiting*
tadster
where did you listen to that interview...I would like to listen to it. Childress is by far the biggest problem this team has. No imagination on offense...wants to run with tight formations when there are 8-9 guys in the box...its no wonder Peterson cant get free. what a maroon....I could go on and on about this guy. the bottom line is, they will never be a true contender with this guy at the helm....couldnt even think to chip block Peppers last week, yet he is our head coach? pathetic....unfortunately he just got a contract extension...is Wilf really that clueless? MUSKY18
I watched the press conferences on ESPN after the game last night. They cut away for Childress and Favre.
walleyes12
go to vikings dot com, and listen to all chillys and favres press confrences
Jim Uran
Yep, me and my brothers were saying the same thing last night. Even Gruden had some remarks about it, about how he knew Favre wanted to keep the offense spread and the momentum going but Chili bunched everyone together and ruined it... FIRE HIM FIRE HIM FIRE HIM... and take Frazier and his Tampa 2 bologna with him.
Snag
I agree, Fire Childress but a lot of guys are playing bad football. There are a lot of invisible guys on defense. Where are the safetys, do they make any plays? Have they intercepted any passes this year? Losing EJ is killing us. Greenway looks worse, Leber doesn't make any plays and the rookie is playing like a rookie. Farve is a stud and showed it in the second half. bak2MN
Mnkinney was big problem last night. No guy out there should be able to get around that guy and he couldn't block for nothing.
gregg52
ya maybe bret should be like player coach that lost sure wasnt his fault!!!!!!!!!!!brain bollick(sp) is in the booth ????
Dave S
John Gruden spent enough time pointing out the things that Favre was seeing on the field. Some can't stand Gruden, but at this point, I would rather see Gruden or John Madden coaching this team. Atleast we know Madden is in love with Favre and would let him call whatever plays he wants. HopkinsFishN
Sorry but even with Chillys horrific calling, I blame the loss directly on three people. Herrera (easily the worst player on the field last night), McKinney (who is always awful), and Winfield just plain blew big plays. Yes I agree we will never win a Super Bowl with Chilly. But C'mon we can't win a game against the BEARS with garbage like this on the field.
buckx37x
i agree chili is bad,but mckinney is a monster and he get pushed around like a pansy, bigload didnt impress me either., give farve time to work.
pinkfloyd4ever
I agree on his conferences, not just last night but others. The other thing we have to look at is this 11 win team may just not be that good. A great, but lucky catch against the 49ers, Baltimore had them down too. GB played them tough with key players out both games for them. Just saying this team could and maybe should be closer to a 8 or 9 win team
Shack
Ya fire Chilly We need a hall of fame coach, third winning-est professional football coach of all time like Bud Grant to get this done. Wait a minute How did Bud do those 18 years????
JAfish
I also believe that when at a time when your team should be peaking (barring injuries) the O-line is losing ground. Now anyone that has been around team sports at any level knows that the coach cannot be blamed all the time, but in this case Chilly has to be at fault. I believe he is a (players' coach) in which these guys come into camp in summer heat in good shape to win a job. The line was not faultless early in the season but they have failed to get better and I believe that they look too fat & slow to cover the ends. Should not need to give them help all the time just against guys like Peppers. Bears didn't have anyone on the d-line like we will see in the playoffs. This season is as good as over and the only way Farve could possibly come back next year is if Chilly is gone & Gruden is hired. The possibility of Gruden coming here is as real as what some of us thought the possibility of Farve being in Purple one year ago.
JBMasterAngler
At least Bud Grant took us to 4 super bowls. Besides, if you look back and watch those games you can clearly see that the refs were literally gift wrapping the win to the other teams
