Best Lights Out There?

So i'm trying to get the best possible led lights for a clam Yukon, i have 2 48 LED ufo lights from Northern but sick of buying and changing DoubleA Batteries, I want to hook something up to a flasher batterie, What do you guys think???

B H K strips. We can't post websites so go back to last winters postings and look there. I've got 2 48cm strips in my Trap Pro and love them. I use an old motorcycle bat. but I'm sure they would work just fine hooked up to your flasher bat.

I picked up a LED rope light with alligator clips that I hook up to a flasher battery. Works great.

I would highly recomend against the h k lights that people talk about on here. I ordered some and the wire they come with is very fragile. It's about 30 gauge and can actually be cut with your thumb nail. I recently had to fish in the dark because the wire broke, and there is no way to upgrade it.

I just ordered the best Hong Kongs. I got the 96 led white strip and received an email that they are back ordered. I canceled my order, but have yet to get a refund.

I've seen them in action and they really are bright.

I also do not like the LED lights from Hong Kong. The wire gauge is too small, but more important is that the light is not that flexible, so when it gets cold & freezes, it gets brittle and cracks the metal if you force/bend it, so half of my LED light doesn't work anymore. But they are very bright. I have since replaced them with some lights made in the USA, which are just as bright, but the plastic is very flexible, with bigger gauge wires, which costs about the same. Just do a web search for super bright led lights.

Ok thanks guys herd alot about the rope lights just wish i could pick some up locally without ordering and shipping. My buddy has the clam brand and it only puts out minimal light,IMO. Thanks

Where did you find the rope light with alagator clips?

Check out the tube lights at the first result of a Oogle search of "l_e_d_ tube light" (without the underscores). A 2' light would be more than enough for your portable. I have 2 4' tubes in my 8x12 and could easily get by with 1. Very low power draw and very bright.

The Luminator, which has 24 LEDs and 8 feet of wire with alligator clips is available here in the Outdoor Pro Store,(backordered but should be available for shipping by this weekend), and also at Joe's in St. Paul.

I really like the UFO style lights vs. other lights like rope lights, etc- I've tried just about every option. I do use my UFO's with RECHARGEABLE batteries (I use e-cells).

You may want to consider using the lights you have, and investing in a charger and AA rechargeable batteries. If you go the 12 volt route, you will be recharging the battery regardles.

There are better UFO's out there now too. The most popular online auction site has a 60 LED UFO light that takes 4 AA batteries and puts out a lot of light.
