Ripcord VS QAD

I hear people talking about the Ripcord and the QAD. Can anyone explain the differences and venefits as you see them? I also see there are different functional models of the QAD. I'm interested in hearing about them and any of the advantages or disadvantages.

The main difference is when you let down after drawing your bow the QAD stays in the up position. Unless they changed the ripcord it will fall when you let down. The QAD has a dampener in it as well. I think it's quieter and smoother. It's a bit more expensive for the ultra rest hd. Both are very good rests. My preference is the QAD.

What sold me on the QAD is you can let down your draw without the rest needing to go off. Necessary in hunting situation in my opinion. Otherwise they are pretty much the same deal. QAD has more versions with other options which may or may not be necessary.

if both rests lock up, and one of them doesnt fall down when you let down on your draw, then how exactly does it drop away when you release the arrow?? is it a physics thing or what

Yes. That's all the people need to know! smile
