Flasher interference, what is the best brand to buy?

Not that this hasn't been discussed before but just looking for some ideas, maybe some new equipment out this year? Last winter had 3 vexilars running in the same house all with interference rejection in 35 FOW. No matter what settings we tried we could only get 2 to work at the same time. Would a marcum or hummingbird put out a different frequency and be unaffected by other units? Are these as good or better then a vex?

marcum also has the best interference rejection, i'v only herd the birds are good, as for vex, everyone yells at me when turn on the lx5, seems like the vexilars interference rejection is not as good, they are all great units, ice fishing without a flasher is like flying blind

I fished my MarCum LX-3tc in a 6x8 portable yesterday. When Casey turned on his Vexilar FL-18, the MarCum went nuts. I quickly corrected the problem with 2-3 touches of the IR button. He had to correct his gain a bit, but we fished successfully all day after figuring each other out. Both good machines, both caught some nice eyes!

I have fishied with many people with many differrent models as long as it has IR, I never ran into a problem getting rid of interference with anyones flasher. Although I havent even had to try when running a Bird, and a Marcum, or a Vex.

Vexilars always have more problems with my Lx-3 than anything else, but it is easily corrected once you use the IR to tune each of the units in. There is really no bad unit out there. My buddy just bought a bird and he loves it. This is my third season with the lx-3 and I wouldn't go back to vex. I love the adjustable zoom sooo much!

I have had a ICE 55 and a LX-3 down the same hole just to see what would happen and it's not even an issue, since they work on different frequency.

I have been fishing this year with my LX-5 and my new 5.6 version, Showdown and have both completely interference free with a little adjusting.

I talked to the Humminbird rep at the ice fishing show, he said the Humminbirds will not interfere with a Marcum or Vexilar, they will interfere with another Humminbird, he said its the nature of the beast, the Vexilar and Marcum have the same or close to the same frequency, thats why they interfere. I've always had interference with my fl-8 and other vexilars, so now I bought an ice-45 and will keep my fl-8, depending on who I go fishing with, thats what flasher I'll take.

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
