two days in a row on two different lakes that ive had good success on the last couple years and not as much as a single flag. not once last year did i go out specifically for pike and get skunked. anyone else had trouble getting the flag up?

Spent the afternoon on Tonka. 9 tipups out and not a single flag!

Went out Saturday afternoon and we had about 8 tip-ups out with golden shiners and frozen smelt. Not a flag.

went out on a couple metro lakes today... 3 flags, all of which i suspect were bass, as we caught one 16 inch fatty

did ok on coon this past thursday. My boy and I put out our four and got 6 flags and 4 fish over 2 1/2 hours...not to bad. From what I have heard it has been slow everywhere.

My go-to lake up here normally has very good pike fishing. Went spearing up there last Sunday and the water was very cloudy, must have gotten stirred up right before freeze up. Only saw 3 fish. Other two lakes I speared had more clear water and the fishing was on par to what it should be for early season. Perhaps your lakes are in a funk like mine is.
