Down in the Valley lack of music

I haven't been there in some time but was doing some Christmas shopping and found the Golden Valley store to be really lacking in new and used music CD's. Is Electric Fetus the only decent music store to go to for your more varied musical tastes? That's too far away from me way out here in far west Hennepin Co. Heck they only had one Foo Fighters CD. Never heard of the Rockford Mules and nothing for Billy McClaughlin. I guess you just have to do everything online now. But then you pay shipping.

The music stores are really hurting because of the move to electronic commerce. (iTunes, etc...)

They have had to diversify their merchandise, because they just don't sell enough in store music anymore. We'll see if they can last.....

For me the Fetus is the only place to go. I don't listen to commercial radio, already own 90% of the classic rock I'm interested in, and mostly buy blues. I buy some downloads, but not from Itunes. My preferred method is to buy from the artist at a live show. Many artists aren't signing with labels anymore, but are starting their own and selling their CDs through the Fetus, on CDbaby and at shows. It cuts out the middle men and allows artists to actually make more than a buck a CD.
