How much snow?

I heard more in southern MN and less the farther north you go.

Here's what Channel 5's good looking weather lady has to say:

Snow Storm?

The snow outlook is looking up for snow lovers. That's because 2 systems will bring snow chances to the Twin Cities points south. The first is a 'miss' for us...it moves in overnight and moves out early tomorrow morning. It will probably only bring flurries to the Cities, but a dusting is possible from Red Wing and Owatonna points south. There could be up to an inch of fluffy snow along the I-90 corridor - especially for Rochester and Winona. The second system looks much more likely to bring plowable snowfall for the Twin Cities points south and east with potential for a half foot not out of the question for Southeast Minnesota! There's still a lot of time between now and when that system moves in on Tuesday, but I suspect with the air so cold (20s at best for highs), every bit of available moisture will wring out as some fluffy snowfall. For those of you that keep up on the nuances of snow forecasting, there's a general rule of thumb call the 10 to 1 ratio that means 10'' of snow if melted down into liquid would equal about 1'' of liquid. But with temps as cold as I'm expecting Tuesday and Wednesday, it could be more like a 16 or 20 to 1 ratio. At last check, it looks like there's potential for around 2 tenths of an inch (possibly more) of liquid precipitation during the Tuesday PM to Wednesday AM timeframe. If you do the math - and take the higher ratio - it's not out of the realm of possibilities that the Twin Cities could get several inches of snow. That same math would yield potential for places like Rochester and Winona of a half foot or more! The track of the storm may still change. If it shifts any farther south and east, we could end up with only flurries and snow showers. If it shifts north and west a bit, the heavy swath now looking most likely for Southeast Minnesota, Southern Wisconsin, and Iowa - could possibly work up to the Metro. We'll watch carefully and bring you any developments! That storm will have another big component: wind. Strong winds may mean near-zero visibility at times, and I wouldn't be shocked to see the word 'blizzard' thrown around for parts of Iowa, maybe even far Southern Minnesota!

Well from my past experiences the weather man dont know squat when it come to predicting a forcast accuratly. With that being said IM predicting anywhere from 0"- 16" of snow lol. hopefully itll stays south for the sake of (somewhat) early ice fishing.

I didn't know Channel 5 had any good looking ladies. That's why I watch Kare 11.
