Electric Deep Fryer...

Curious what everyone uses or thinks is the best?? Or I should say is a great value for the dollar. Not looking for cheap... looking for quality at a reasonable price.

Looking for one to use in the kitchen for frying wings, strips, fries, fish, etc.

I've had great luck with a Presto multi-cooker. About 40 dollars. It has worked well for everything I've put in it including everything you mentioned. I even take it to the fish house for the really fresh fish. Just make sure that you keep the oil separated between different types of food. I re-use the oil several times. I like peanut oil for most foods.

If your looking for top of the line fryers look at a masterbuilt turk and surf. They are actually an electric turkey fryer. they are alittle big, they are 28 quarts, large enough to fry a 14 lb turkey. I have never used one but have seen them and they look like they would be worth every dollar.

Chris I have used one of those Rival fry daddy's for years and it works pretty good as long as you know its limitations. You have to keep the portions small so you don't cool the oil too much and your batches will not be huge but for 2 or 3 people it will work out great and they are pretty cheap. My BIL has a $$$ one that has a cover and vents out the moisture along with a digital temp and time. It works great and will keep 6 to 10 people into food if you are entertaining.

hanson, For EXACTLY the same items you want to fry, I use a Presto Fry- Pro. It has a 1600 or 1800 watt element that's PERFECT for the amount of oil that's used, so recovery time is short. It's capable of doing 3 chicken breast halves at once. Phred52

I have used a Waring Pro DF250B 1800-Watt Deep Fryer for a couple years now with great results on fish, chicken strips, wings, tortilla chips, etc. Not a huge capacity fryer (1 gallon of oil) but works good for everyday use. I would definitely recommend it over a fry daddy type fryer.

Thanks for the feedback Todd!

Waring is what I'm strongly considering and its either the model you mentioned or a slightly larger one.

I really don't want a fry daddy type fryer and I want something that looks like a commercial fryer.
