cabelas has a sale i think on scoped savage rifles. sythetic with stainless barrel for 450 i think. some people feel savage rifle aren't quality guns, but i think their bolts are some of the smoothest operating out there, and they pioneered the accu trigger!

I really like my model 700 in 30.06. Got it at cabelas with scope for about $450 on sale. Stainless barrel and mossy oak synthetic stock, with ProXmark adjustable trigger. Watch for sales, they do a few a year. For factory ammo, I've found Federal Fusions to be like laser beams out of my gun.

just picked up a Howa 7MM from Reeds in Walker for $350. That includes a very nice Nikkor Nighteater scope. Whatta buy!!!!! They are closing them out.

i have a savage model 111 in 270 win and love it. my first gun was a 110. I have had the 111 and used it for whitetails for the last 7 years with not one complaint.
