Just call him. I called a number on his HSOforum and Jason himself answered. I told him I broke one of his rods and he simply got my address and sent me out a new one of the same model. I had it about a week later, no questions asked.

Simply amazing service, best I've ever dealt with!!!

Jason will stand firm behind his rods, summer and winter. Contact him and he will sort it out for you. Likely just cost you shipping.

A minor Rant but a point we all need to consider:

I am Not pointing a finger at anyone, yet we all need to be responsible for our own rods and protect them properly, get a case capable of protecting your investments.

True manufacturer defects tend to pop up almost immediately, in the first few days of use, report defects to vendors promptly for that often dictates if a product can be exchanged, don't wait.

Vendors like JM Rods or any other rod vendor for that fact can not be expected to cover our individual instances of negligence and stupidity when it come to breakage either. I have seen cases where guys bring in rods or several rods broken into 6 pieces and smashed and claim it was on a hook-set...come....on...really? Then claim it was a manufacturer defect..Hummm..Let me think...Ah..ah...Nope!

My point is a vendor or manufacturer can not be held responsible for our individual negligence, and a lot of people just do not see that. That is a huge factor that drives up costs to everyone, unwarranted and unreasonable product returns.

I agree, Ed. I wouldn't say I was negligent, but I will definitely be buying an individual case for this rod.

I emailed Jason and he said he'll send a replacement out if I send in the broken rod + $5 for shipping. That's pretty great service and I'll definitely be ordering a couple more rods from him to send out with the replacement.

Ed is right..so right, I took a good look at my rod cases today. I realized I have over $500.00 in the the four or five combos I use most, and I'm stuffing them in bargain soft packs. So...went on a hunt today for some rod cases. I wasn't able to find much where I live, and what I did see, I wasn't real impressed with. Any suggestions for a good one that will hold about 4 rods/reels? Did some internet searches, but didn't see a lot there, either.
