Ranger482
have been looking at a few houses and just looking for a straight forward opinion, have been looking pretty hard at the new Team Wild house in the 3 man version along with the quickflip 3 but noticed they placed the door all the way to the left and not sure that won't cause a problem with fishing two guys and flasher and so on, I know the QF3 I had before, I really liked for a mid range house and tons of room and bought it used. I have noticed quite a few of the Otter lodges and dens used on here and couple other places used and in good shape with covers hitches and so on and wondering which way you guys would go on a purchase....Thanks! Coach1310
I have an Eskimo Quickflip II.... one of, if not the first model made. It has served me well, but I think Eskimo and Shappell have the lowest quality houses out there. Otter's are pretty much indestructible, but you pay a premium for that to. To me, the most important part is the sled/tub. That has to survive the wear and tear more than anything else. I think it comes down to is a new, premium house worth the $$$ or will a middle of the road, cheaper house do well enough. I would keep searching for used... after deer season, people will really be getting geared up for hardwater and looking to sell their portable to buy a new one. Eric Wettschreck
I would go Otter simply for the quality. The tubs can't be beat. Now that they have the square poles they are so much easier to to retract, too.

Ranger482
thanks for the replies, just not sure which is the best way to go, but I know it adds up to put all the accessories like some of the used ones come with already.
bobbymalone
Remember ---- it's only gonna be new for that first season, then it is used.
Ranger482
That is true....Been looking at an Otter Lodge that is three years old and in excellent shape and has bench seat, hitch, cover, LED lights and hyfax runners on it and priced in the lower 5's, and wondering if it is a decent deal?
