When to decide?

Want to hunt in the morning, the rain is suppose to let up tomorrow sometime, maybe over night.

When on a borderline day do you decide to hunt or not?

Do you get up several hours before leaving and check the radar? Make a good educated guess the night before?

I will not hunt in rain, heavy winds deter me also. May or may not have 1 or both in the morning.

Rippin you sound like me,had the past 2 days off wake up in the morning to hear the rain shut off the alarm and go back to bed. I check the radar before bed and then get up in the morning look out the window and check the radar again before I decide to go out.

It's the wind that tends to hold the activity down. If the Isobars on the maps are close together, you're going to run into some stiff winds.

Rain is a little uncomfortable, but it won't slow the rut activity like the wind will.
