HarmonH
What kind of scents or attractors do you guys use and how? Do they work? I have heard the Special Golden Estrus works well
buckhunter21
The only scent I have consistant success with is a scent called Active Scrape. I make about half a dozen mock scrapes and spray that over it every couple of days. You can also buy a dripper with it that way you dont have to go and freshen the scrapes up because it does it for you. Also works good in real scrapes. aberg22
I love using doe in estres buck bomb. 5oz for the same as 1oz on most comp. It is a spray can. I spray on one boot walking in and spray around stand. Then spray in air about every hour. The mist goes along ways. You can also spray a wick down and hang it by a tree. One year I locked the can open and trew it from the stand. But I found out later it won't spray upsidedown. I then put a hole in the can and dribbled it by a tree. Shot a buck and the next morning by that tree the can and area was scraped all over.
Kyle
I spray mine holding the can upside down all the time when spraying a mock drag. I used one yesterday, and put it standing upright in my garage, and when I walked in today it had leaked out the bottom...I probably wont be purchasing buck bomb brands anymore. That stink is enough to make me never want to use their products again after a mess like that.
Archerysniper
I use Golden estrus and have shot many bucks that have come into the scent drag and scent wicks soaked with it.
pikerliker
Hey Harmon as far as do attractant scents work, in my experience sometimes yes and sometimes no. I have used the golden estrus and some other off brands. I have had years where my scents were totally ignored, and other years where deer definately walked up to them to check them out. I believe it has a lot to do with where they are in the rut cycle when you hunt. I usually use them with the idea that I can get them to stop and present me with a shot more so than they are going to come running from miles away because they smell my scent wick. ~piker
Buckcountry
Best scent is no scent in my opinion.
