A fall evenings walk...

Recommended Posts

The light was just perfect the other night, like it only seems to do in the fall. The dogs were happy to get out:

Our favorite trail seemed warm, despite the chilly breeze that comes with the season:

The clouds in the distance didnt seem to reach us in our field:

As the sun started to set, Toby locked up on point - his hot breath was creating steam around his head...I REALLY liked this shot:

The sun was getting low in the sky as we set off for home:

Hope you liked them.

OT, since you asked, the backlit pointing dog is showing very blue highlights in the shaded area of the haunch/butt/shoulder. This is common, since shade gathers cool light, and it is enhanced when the image is saturated. To combat the phenomenon -- if you actually want to combat it (sometimes I court it) -- I simply desaturate blues/cyans to taste in Photoshop.

Not to take away from the image. That backlit aura around the head is very cool. 2thumbs.gif
