No one knows who the true #2 guy is until the possibility of Favre getting hurt rears up. Like the sports websites i read said at the onset of the season, "Jackson has been named the backup even though Rosenfels is the more reliable option. If Favre gets hurt we'll see who the #2 really is".

I don't think either of them is going anywhere at this point....

They brought up the trading deadline today on FOX pregame and someone mentioned Brady Quinn. I still have yet to see even a glimmer of an All Pro in him and don't understand what everyone else sees in him.

I understand, but packaging him with picks or something else would work. Hopefully we don't have to, assuming Winfield's injury isn't too bad (he didn't return to the game). I just don't like our D with Paymah back there. He'll undoubtedly get better, but our team is not set up to "wait for someone to get better". We have a window this yr and next where we ARE set to make a big run. That sort of success can carry over for years to come! Especially if Wylf continues to be willing to spend money. Dropping right back in to "wait and see" mode will lose an awful lot of momentum that has been built into the fanbase. Again, hopefully Winfield is just fine and will be back shortly. I don't think we need to get crazy and trade for anything else out there.

The Jets got Braylon Edwards for a 3rd rounder and a box of Cheese-Its. I think if they find the right guy, he could be had for cheap.

If Winfield is going to miss much time, we need to get on the horn ASAP and get a corner. We are in deep trouble if we keep running Paymah out there. I think we should trade for a good starter, if possible. Can always move one to nickel if needed. If we can do it for a future draft pick- all the better!! We will need it against NO in the NFC Champ game!

Talib from Tampa would be a steal for a few draft picks...Bad team- going no where fast...Traded Adams for a 2nd rounder...Who knows? Adams went #4 the year we got AP at 7...Pretty quick to give up on the guy there...

So what, if it takes a couple of picks. I think a team this close should do something. We got Allen in a trade like this and it has turned out well..

We got Allen on a draft day, trade not a deadline trade, what do we have to offer for a decent CB? Windfield will be missed if he's out, but we can't expect to trade for someone of his caliber at the deadline unless we get lucky. Good CB's are hard to come by.

You are correct. We won't find anyone of his caliber. But we CAN find someone who is better than Paymah. Too bad it's already Tuesday though, looks like it's not gonna happen.
