carb for an Onan generator

A friend has an Onan generator - Model No. 5.0K2-3T/1A K5000 and he needs a carb kit or a new carb. The only thing on the carb is Mikuni. The Onan shop on Buerkle has been less than helpful and has charged incredible prices in the past for minor items.

Anyone have any ideas?

I am not sure if this is any help, but Onan has been taken over by Cummins, might be able to call a local cummins dealer or maybe even an RV dealer may be able to order parts for him.

I just did a goolge search on brand name and model and came up with a place in Texas to order parts. Unless you want to stay local.

Tim Miller with Generator Systems Services in Mapleton might be a good guy to try contact. He has many years experience working on generators.

Problem solved. Cummins sucked in terms of help but the rig is running. Thanks for the help
