He isn't a monster by any stretch of the imagination, but after passing numerous does and a few smaller bucks in the past few years, it was time to put an arrow in one!

15 yard shot and he went 30 yards and piled up! My boy is only three, but he is already shooting a little bow with Dad - He is going to be a natural born buck slayer!

I forgot that when he was coming in, he was limping. Once we found him, he had lost his hooves on his left leg. The dew claws were there, but no hooves at all.

Sorry Kottke, no pics of the foot - I can't believe I didn't, but to describe it a bit, it looks like it stepped sideways into a table saw - IT was as flat as can be - I could feel the bone below, but it had grown over and was like a big calous. Like I said, it was just below the dews and flat as a pancake. My first thought was that it was shot off, but after talking with the fellas - MAybe a trap or snared - Nobody traps (legally or with permission where we hunt), so who knows.
