Bibs

Since AA makes a Camo suit, I think alot of people are switching to those for muli-season use.

I have a camo suit, and wear the parka all summer long on the cool nights, and throw the bibs on when the snow starts flying like it was Fri night.

If you wear a 34 or 36 I would go with a XL because most likely you'll be wearing some warm clothes under them and then your movement wouldn't be restricted at all.

I have the same waist as you and an extra large fits me well. They're not too big at all.

Get some man bibs... Carhart! They're like $90 and will last for years. I didn't know anyone besides Carhart made bibs. Those Ice Armor's are cute though. I wish they'd make a purse to match and i'd get some for sure!

I used to say the same until I got some. My Arctic Armor are way lighter than my Carhart and every bit as warm. I had the black extremes too. My AA are much easier to hole hop in and the padded seat and kness realy helps. Plus if you happen to fall through the ice you will flaot unlike my Carharts wich filled up with water and weighed a ton. I also didnt like my carhart zippers freezing shut on me all the time.

I agree if you work outdoors Carhart are the way to go but in a Ice Fishing situation the AA suits cant be beat in my opinion. My wife will have a set this winter for sure. She doesnt Ice Fish much but they will be great for snowmobiling as well.

I have not tried a vex suit, but the big turn off for me with Carhart is when it comes to going #1 as a man winkmad Unless they have lowered the zipper stop, I am not sure what they where thinking crazy

AA bibs are hands down worth the extra cash. Knee padding is crazy thick, "NO WET KNEES" hole hopping, and are very warm.

I wish the manufacturers would consider tall guys as much as they do vertically challenged. When you jump sizes all you normally gain is girth and very little length.Good rain gear over the appropriate layers works for me.

Tried the Arctic Armor for the first time this morning. Seemed ok it was 26 when I got to the lake plus driving at 30 mph in boat no windshield. Was'nt overly warm to sweating point but not cold either. But i thought I would push it a little for first time usually with carhartt (last year) under armor long sleeve, Heavy duty carhartt hoody, shirt Carhartt Extreme bibs and a heavy work coat. Today Aa suit, Under armor, shirt. Was alot less clothing for being close to same comfortable level and alot easier to move. Also they say it floats but decided not to try that out. Thought it worked decent but will Know for sure when the ice forms and its colder out and drilling-hopping holes. Not so impressed with the gloves they are warm but weird to take off but they were free also.

Haha, i gotta agree with sapper on this one! Ch's have always been at the top of the list for me. I have tryed some others but they just dont seem to hold up compared to Ch. Everytime i go out fishing i drill at least a dozen holes, usaully many more than that though, i will admit they do get heavy once in a while, but its nice when you can go fishing, then when done go back to farm and do whatever work you need to without changing. They are very nice bibs to me, many uses for them and i would recommend to others.

    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
    • I haven’t done any leaf springs for a long time and I can’t completely see the connections in your pics BUT I I’d be rounding up: PB Blaster, torch, 3 lb hammer, chisel, cut off tool, breaker bar, Jack stands or blocks.   This kind of stuff usually isn’t the easiest.   I would think you would be able to get at what you need by keeping the house up with Jack stands and getting the pressure off that suspension, then attack the hardware.  But again, I don’t feel like I can see everything going on there.
