mroyten
I have been considering one of these types of weighted jerkbaits and would like to know what people think of them and in what conditions/situation do you throw them? If so have you found success with these baits? I'm thinking they would be especially good out over weed edges/open water (over bait balls) when the fish not active. What's your take? MikeEiden
I own 4 suicks and 3 burts. I prefer the suicks for most applications. They don't look like it but they are extremely weedless so you can work them threw cabbage but they are very versatile lures any where. I will use my burts (mostly squirrely version) with short snaps and pauses over deep weeds or rocks. These hang in place very well which is what like about them but on the pause there is just enough movement to keep the tail wiggling. I also like the loud large rattles. Good lures for slow days or cold water periods. Both good lures.Hope this helped..
Esox_Magnum
I love the weighted Wades Wobbler's, haven't found a bad time or place to use them yet. Don't like Burts or Suicks so sold what few I had.
50inchpig
12 inch weighted suick is DA BOMB! over weeds or along the edge, the colder the better. don't know if it's an activity level thing so much as what kind of action they want for the day. MUSKY18
Suicks are my favoirte all time bait. Love throwing these bad boys, as they are fish catching machines. As stated above you can work them through weeds fairly easy. Take a little bit to get the hang of it, but once you do, there is nothing to it. I haven't thrown the 12" yet, but have over 30 of the 9" and 10" versions. Great for working around rocks as well....hammer into the rocks and let it slowly float back up, repeat!I don't use weighted Burts as much as I use the unweighted models. Have never had a weighted Burt that ran the way I wanted it to. Have several of the unweighted ones and I really like to work these over weeds. Plus they pull really easy so you can throw them forever and never get tired from jerking.
fishuhalik
Absolutely love suicks. Mostly use them for big pike in the fall. Hands-down my favorite fall lure
Zelmsdawg
How many of you guys weight your own? I tried doing the jig head thing from muskies on the shield with some limited success but still haven't quite gotten the right amount of weight so it slowly risesZelmsdawg
MikeEiden
Weight kits like that from Jomusky or Fudally works great and allows you to change how much weight you want and where you want it. Definitely worth the investment for only $12-15.
