Hey guys, I just bought my first ever shotgun last Thursday. I was choosing between the following shotguns...

  • Benelli Super Black Eagle II
  • Beretta Xtrema2
  • Browning Maxus/Gold
  • Winchester SX3

So, i went to our local gun shop and asked to see the following firearms. I looked at, held aimed and swung with all 4 firearms, all 4 with pros and cons. I wont go into details on each one, but the plastic on the benelli to me felt and seemed somewhat cheap and really shiny. The Beretta didn't pull up, aim or swing quite right for me, the browning didn't come in a camo pattern and the Winchester i didnt really care for at all.

So i was down to Benelli SBE II, Beretta Xtrema2 and Browning Maxus. Went through the paces on those 3 again, and came to my conclusion.

Heres pics of what i decided on....

Looks Nice!

I thought you led us to believe you were looking for a camo patten.

I am an SBE II guy my self.

What does that piece of iron run now days?

I was hoping to find it with MODB camo but black syn. is ok as well.

This one new from our gun shop ran $1,125.00, total $1,206.63 with tax

A guy's first shotgun is something special. Take good care of it and you could be shooting it fifty years from now. You'll have others, but the first one is always the best one.

Still have mine. Fifty years old. Solid as the day I bought it.

Enjoy it and learn to use it.

How True this is...

I remember buying my first 870 28 years ago. at the age of 13. I borrowed the money from dad and had to work it off at so many bucks an hour for the next year. I have bought many more since but I shoot that Ol'870 Wingmaster the best.
