PerchJerker
I was out there for a league tournament on Saturday and except for 1 nice bass off a dock and a couple nice bass from deep water (20 fow), everyone had small fish (like 10-14 inches). I got all of of mine shallow on senkos and tube jigs.

CaptZ21
Thing to remember about tonka is that every bay is really a different lake. One might be dead, another having a hot frog bite, yet another have em going in 20' on coontail. BTW this time of year does see a movement to the deeper coontail and or pads. How do u find the coontail you ask:?? Wear out your wrists with a crank on the edges. Slow rolling a one ounce spinner bait is a technique a good buddy of mine swears by in the clear water on weed lines. Hope this helps a little, personally Tonka gutted me all year. Go2fish
Tonka is mean. What you are throwing is far less important than where you are throwing it. Do not fish too many memories, I have spots that I just nailed them on for 2 years, been there 30 times since then and not caught any. Most spots I find are good for about a week or 2 so it is constantly looking for fish. Maybe others are finding better spots?I have no idea what they do in the fall but am curious...I do know they are not in the same spots they are/were in in the summer. EBass
Tonka - it's a love/hate relationship. I love to hate it. I haven't been there much this year and when I did it was nothing special. With the most recent cold snap - er coldest of the season that's happening now I'd think the shallow bass would move out the the weedline since it's more stable water temp. This is just a guess. Craigums
Worked deep weedlines around points with DT-10's on sunday. Now my shoulder hurts like a son of a gun. We picked up a few fish but other people in the club had a little better luck shallow
rippinlips10
You guys thinkin throwin a jig into the milfoil would produce some big bites.?
Lonedrake
You guys thinkin throwin a jig into the milfoil would produce some big bites.? You never know....but probably not. I would look at the coontail. It is a tough time to pattern fish out there.
