Anyone else see span get beaned last night, hes lucky he was able to walk away from that. Very scary moment, hope he will be back soon. Anyone hear if he will play tonight?

Ouch! 95mph to the mellon. They are listing him day to day with a small concussion. I really dont know how they can call it a small concussion, i thought a concussion is a concussion. Anyways will be a big blow if he is out along time. A.J. was pretty stand up and went to check on him right away. Cant stand him, but that made me hate him a little less.

Slight concussion is the correct term, as the ball hit more of the helmet than him. Hopefully just a couple of days out. Gomez will now get more playing time against the SUX which may be good as he has played well against them. Span gets a break whether he wants to or not. Cmon GO GO time to step it up. Your turn.

i agree, A.J. was pretty quick to check on him, he is a d-bag but gotta hand it to him that was pretty nice of him to be quick to see if he was ok

What did Span do to the Sox this year? They threw "chin music" at him durring every at bat untill they clobered him. Any ideas on that one?

I dont think it was just an errant pitch, although AJ was quick to render aid and call for Gardy and the boys for help.

Yes, it was a nasty hit. Lucky the helmet caught most of it. Could have been real,nasty if it would have hit the back of his neck.

I thought AJ was going to get tossed last night the way he was complaining with the home plate umpire throughout the game.

I heard he went out and stretched and did warm ups with the team but didn't do any throwing. My guess would be he will play Friday and they will rest him again Wed and off day Thursday!
