Best stringer to use for a Muskie?

I have had so many of them toothy critters chew through my stringer as they drag behind my boat? Lost a big old 35 incher the other day because of this. Do you guys use the old school metal stringers for this?

Might be a new technique. Drag a stringer...get them close to the boat and whack em with a little bat. J/K I am glad times have changed. Actually though I fished in Mexico last fall and our guides "little bat" was unbelievably dented.

And on the same note our guides were hiding behing the console as we brought barracudas into the boat. Granted it was an itty/bitty green foam of a boat but they sure were scared of these fish.

This seems to work most of the time..unless you get the anchor rope wrapped around the prop while trolling at a clipping speed of 5 mph. Bigger fish don't enjoy this, especially if they are tangled in the prop as well.
