A raptor kind of day

Went down to my folks for a couple of days, and saw these and a ton of other raptors on my trip back (unfortunately w/o more pix):

Any young ospreys on the nest?

Not that I could see. I would think they would be big enough by now to make their presence known. I stuck around for about 45 minutes. Osprey #2 came in with a northern about 20 inches long, made a swing and left without me being able to take a shot!

Well, lucky it was outside the slot. Think a C.O. would write a ticket for an osprey carrying a 28-inch pike? Shucks, how's a poor bird to pay for such a fine?

Really nice images, Ken. We have an osprey that often flies over the bay by our cabin. We've not had any luck finding the nest.
