I would hope that Rick Hendrick wouldn't swap crew chiefs between Martin and Jr. when Martin is on a run and could be a legitimate championship contender. Those guys are hitting on all cyclinders right now.

It comes down to one thing, Jr and Eury don't work well together and until there is a crew cheif that fits with the driver, they will stink.

Jr will get a new crew chief and things will turn around.

has uncomfortable pauses in his interviews, like hes always out of breath

I don't know if one should compare Jr to his dad. Very few if any can compare to his father.

When one tries to compare any driver to Sr, that will be a tough one to do. Sr almost made NASCAR.

I wish Rick wouldn't have let Darian Grubb leave HMS for Stewart-Hass and become Stewart's crew chief. Grubb would have been a good choice to replace Eury Jr. If you remember Grubb won the Daytona 500 his first day as a temporary crew chief when Knaus was suspended, and look how well he is doing with Stewart this year on the team's maiden voyage.

I agree that Jr. doesn't have his head in the game. Maybe he isn't communicating his needs like he should, or isn't spending time in the garage like he should. I believe some of that falls on the shoulders of the crew chief. They should be able to give their driver a swift kick in the butt, on or off the track, when they need it. I wonder if Jr. and Eury Jr. being cousins is a hinderance, and makes it easier for Jr. to tell Eury Jr. to pack sand when another crew chief wouldn't tolerate that.
