spearchucker
I would hope that Rick Hendrick wouldn't swap crew chiefs between Martin and Jr. when Martin is on a run and could be a legitimate championship contender. Those guys are hitting on all cyclinders right now.

harvey lee
That exactly what Rick was thinking about as he stated it on TV. April 22, 2009 - The Tony Eury Jr. drama does not seem to be going away any time soon. Sources within Hendrick Motorsports confirmed to Captain Thunder that discussions were held over the Easter break regarding the possible switching of crew chiefs between the #5 ... PikeBayCommanche
Did anyone see JR at the break in the all-star race? He sounded lost to what to do. I just think that they as a team are lost.

PikeBayCommanche
JR seems like a fish out of water without the twisted sister car to drive. If only he could get it to turn. Maybe they should adjust the camber. I doubt JR makes the chase this year let alone win a race.
gregg52
not much chatter all the jr nation must be praying for a top ten this week hec top top 20 lolsoon it will be 1..2...3 in points 24..48...5 not sure bout the order oh and the 14 hes a spin off of hendricks and the 38(i thinks newmans#) all going foward 88 ??????that should get some chattter going lol
harvey lee
It comes down to one thing, Jr and Eury don't work well together and until there is a crew cheif that fits with the driver, they will stink.Jr will get a new crew chief and things will turn around. Uncle Bill
Jr will get a new crew chief and things will turn around. Should have gotten rid of cousin goober a long time ago.I think it's too late now.
harvey lee
Never to late. Mr Hendrick will make the change. He stated earlier in the season that if this duo didn't work out, the team would see a change.
SledNeck
I was reading an article today that said there is a correlation between NASCAR ratings and the performance of Dale JR.

harvey lee
I don't know if one should compare Jr to his dad. Very few if any can compare to his father. When one tries to compare any driver to Sr, that will be a tough one to do. Sr almost made NASCAR. LMITOUT
Unless a miracle happens today Eury has got to go. How can they put a car on the track like that?
harvey lee
They are stinking it up very bad. It will continue until Eury is gone period. Maybe give Eury to Busch and then if he can still win, I will bow to him.
jd524
I wish Rick wouldn't have let Darian Grubb leave HMS for Stewart-Hass and become Stewart's crew chief. Grubb would have been a good choice to replace Eury Jr. If you remember Grubb won the Daytona 500 his first day as a temporary crew chief when Knaus was suspended, and look how well he is doing with Stewart this year on the team's maiden voyage.I agree that Jr. doesn't have his head in the game. Maybe he isn't communicating his needs like he should, or isn't spending time in the garage like he should. I believe some of that falls on the shoulders of the crew chief. They should be able to give their driver a swift kick in the butt, on or off the track, when they need it. I wonder if Jr. and Eury Jr. being cousins is a hinderance, and makes it easier for Jr. to tell Eury Jr. to pack sand when another crew chief wouldn't tolerate that. gregg52
i agree on you shouldnt compare him to his dad as a driver but one would think he woulda got alitle of his carisma like sled said he cant really put tpgether 2 sentences in a interveiw ya 30 something today i would think changes are going to fsst unless jr and tony have some kinda unbreakalbe contract which i doubt
