Jim Almquist
I might just be one cause I can't get close to lousy honker or a Hooded Merganser but I can walk right up to a Bald Eagle and take all the pics I want and he was still sitting there when I took off. No cropping on any of the shots.

dockothebay
I think you could get a job in a portrait studio... "Look to the left, now lift your chin a little and look right, ok, now look right at me, chin down...." Seriously, excellent images!! panthrcat
wow!! I can't get close to an eagle if my life depended on it!!! these are super!!! I'm amazed he stayed there for you, they are so flighty!Sue
Jim Almquist
Sue this was the first time that I have ever walked up to one. Most times if you stop the car they are gone right now. I am guessing that this one was a young one that did not know better.I know a guy that is a professional trapper and hope to get out to his house and shoot some day because he has lots of eagles looking for the carcasses that he throws out. He told me the numbers have been as high as 18 birds and he has spotted a Bobcat as well.
