Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

blushblushgringrin Thank you all very much. Wow what a wet wet wet wet 4 days at the cabin. 9 of us trapped inside a cabin. This is why they make rain gear. Alot of rain up here the last few days. You deal with the elements or sit in the cabin. Thursday got some crappies for the Saturday fish fry. Had a nice birthday dinner at GDP. Friday was 39 and wet. 2 guys did go out and limited on walleyes. Some of us spent a day in the cabin. Saturday it didn't start raining until noonish. 4 of us went out and got some more eyes b-4 the lightning started. Had 2 storms on Saturday. Lost power twice on Saturday. Sunday morning at 5:00 AM, there was a very loud storm. Wow was there some Thunder and alot of rain.

9 people. Total eyes 31. crappies 50 and only 6 grouse. Grouse didn't like this weather. Leaves are at peaking and it was really beautiful colors. It seems like it is 2 weeks behind up there. Water temps were around 54.

Thanks again for the B-day wishes. Believe me I had a GOOD B-day, and it was spent up north. A very good combo.

Glenn you had to had the same weather, and you got your bear. Way to go big guy.

G.C.

    • Stumbled on this thread and nice to see that cool truck! That's is a sweet find. Reminds me of the project truck of my buddy's uncle. 1992 F150 2x4 6" suspension lift, Motometal forged wheels, and 33" tires.
    • Sacrilege!! Burn him! Burn him!
    • Picked up a beat up old snowmobile sleigh with holes and cracks for cheap. 20 years in fiberglass mfg helped a lot! Fun little project to haul the grandsons around for some ice fishing and trail riding.
Still need to add the windshield. I call it the "Monster Hauler!"
    • Agree to the fact that sometimes things we smoke do add up money wise.  I smoked 35 pounds of goose sausage today for the kid, spent around 100 bucks, trim, seasonings, casing etc.  But......... i got to drink about 13,14 and watch the queens while i did it, thats why I smoke. lol
    • From the tree I assume, not the stand.  But close for sure!  Nice to have a 10 pointer down (and all the other stuff) by this time of year.
    • Sucks to be you, I guess. You really don't know much about BBQ, do you?
    • Except your thesis is contradicted by the fact that much BBQ doesn't really have much in the way of "strong spices".
    • I wouldn't call BBQ pork gourmet. It's just finding enough of the right combinations of strong spices and salt to make the poor, tough cuts tolerable to eat. Kinda like the buffalo wings craze. Wings used to be the throwaway parts of a chicken you had to take to get breast meat. Now per pound they are more expensive than any other part of the chicken.    Not a complaint at all as I am pretty addicted to wings and I live pulled pork as well.  Just an observation./opinion. No harm or hurt feelings intended.
