I applied for the 99 area. Will be hunting no quota this year. Got to get the wife in to get her area 99 in.

Applied for 26. Question in case I don't get my first choice, can you buy left over tags online?

If you don't get drawn for your area then you can buy a leftover tag for an area that has them.

Also here are some changes that have passed the house and are currently in Finance...

HF 1238

( A private landowner or person authorized by the private landowner may use a

19.30barrel to bait bear on the person's private land. The barrel must be securely chained or

19.31cabled to a tree so that it cannot be moved from the site by a bear and the barrel may

19.32not include a mechanical device for dispensing feed. The barrel must be marked with

19.33the name and address of the person who registered the bait site. For purposes of this

19.34paragraph, "barrel" means a 30 gallon or larger drum.

Subd. 5. Portable stands. Prior to the Saturday on or nearest September 16, a

9.2portable stand may be left overnight in a wildlife management area by a person with a

9.3valid bear license who is hunting within 100 yards of a bear bait site that is legally tagged

9.4and registered as prescribed under section 97B.425. Any person leaving a portable stand

9.5overnight under this subdivision must affix the person's name and address to the stand in

9.6such a manner that it can be read from the ground.
