You got a good deal on the linecounters and rods!!!!. Why was shipping that spendy ??? Because of the length and I think they ship rods with plumbing tubes???

Ya because of the length. Funny thing is they always come in 1 tube but the charge you for 2 rods at the same rate. I let them know either they cut the shipping down or I would just go buy something locally. I donated the reels to a benefit my wife helps with and Ill try the rods. They look stiff in the house but we will see how they are with the boards on them.

I'll never forget about 10 years ago when my dad took me and the "better half up Salmon fishing on Superior. Mn side. After about an hour one of the rods went , and go figure, the Wife pulls up a 28" Eye!!!! What a sow!!!!! A piggy!!!

FFO is Fishermans Factory Outlet. It's the pure fishing (berkley) outlet store in Spirit Lake, IA where they sell recondition rods, reels, line, and plastics. Along with a good selection of new product at discounted rates.

Call them, they keep a lot of stuff in the back room. I was just up there yesterday and they had to go dig around for some saltwater swimbaits for me in the back. The prices are very, very cheap.

My dad did pick up a nice linecounter there last year. They keep the stuff up front that normally sells fast.

I got a pair of line counter reels for under $30 ea.

Went to the big C after shooting pool down in mankato, They had some good deals on stuff. Got two 8'6" with and two 6' for out the back all with the 30 series depthmaster reel for 50 bucks a piece. Think i would have liked the 20 series better but the deal onlt came with the 30. And they had some really good deals on ice hooks. Thanks for all your thoughts and advice.
