drop shotting

what type of line would you consider buying for dropshotting on a 7' ML rod with a shimano symetre ill pobally be using this on weed edges in about 5-12 FOW going to try to learn the DS this year and would like some help.

Edit: haha, nevermind, realized you designated a Symmetre. I would agree then. 6lb Flouro or Copolymer. Flouro sinks so that can help, but you've got a weight on there anyways, so really all you're going for is invisibility and strength. Both of those provide what you need IMO with the flip of a wrist that you'll use for hooksets on that rig.

because its clear as a motha! No, but it really does get you more bites because it is almost invisible.

As tonka says, it has very similar reflective index as water.. so under water its fairly invisible. However, it also sinks, which allows you to fish lighter sinkers and still keep contact with the bottom.
