First Gobble!?!?

My dads buddy was out feeding his cattle the other morning and heard bunches of gobbles. anyone hear and long beards yet

Yep. Saw some posturing/strutting in a group of longbeards at work yesterday too. 6 of em were roosted in a big oak right on top of the skid loader

couple of days ago on the way home from waconia saw about 20 turkeys working the edge of a feild only a couple of jakes in the flock and then about 20 miles up the road saw another group of birds 15 or so they were a pretty good distance from the road so it was hard to tell what was what.

Was out on a scouting/permission gaining trip this morning and saw a few strutters. Haven't heard a gobble yet.

Saw my first strutters this morning. I saw a flock messing around in February, but this was the first real solo tom trying to impress the gals.

If it wasn't so cold I might think things would pick up a little more.

I woke up this morning to gobbling. Looked out the window and there was 3 toms fanned out and strutting around 7 hens in the back yard. 3 More weeks. Can't wait.

Allright, I found myself stuck in the middle of bizzaro world yesterday. The crappie bite that should have been out of this world was as slow as I've ever seen it, and on top of that, I heard my first gobble of the year NEAR WALKER, MINNESOTA! How crazy is that? That is near the most extreme end of the wild turkeys' range in Minnesota. The bite was slow enough near sunset that myself and a buddy were yelping back and he was answering. Towards the end he was getting pretty close to us. I've heard it all now!
