GatorGetter
Has anyone had luck using frogs ice fishing for northerns through the ice? We can fish northern pike, year round, in North Dakota and alot of guys are finding frogs in the stomachs of the pike in the lake I am fishing.Tried live frogs on Sunday and had the best luck on them. I realize its not a bait many can obtain this time of the year. My bait dealer had some on hand.
Random guy
Frogs are a huge part of the pikes diet in late winter. Some lakes have frogs that becomed uncovered from the mud when the flows starts. You may have seen a the video of the pike going vertical then zapping a frog off the botttom like a sunnie eating a worm, I jave it on a back up cd somewhere. Cooter
I've found frogs in walleyes in winter. Frog harness - reminds me of the open water cedar shingle float rig for frogs, mice, small pets....I mean - which reminds me of the St Croix ad
