My 14 yr old son came home and his homework for photo. class is to take "outdoor landscape" photos over the weekend. Now here is my problem, he brought a camera home that takes film and has settings! I went from a polaroid to digital, and still have about a 35% success rating for pic taking. I want to help him out the best i can and we have decided to visit a couple of state parks here in southern MN over the weekend. Any suggestions for me or him on settings, locations, time of day, or whatever else we need to do to capture the moment like you guys do. Thanks in advance, they will be developing the pics on monday in class, and i can let you know how they turn out.

not sure, they "reload" the film, i guess. Its a high school class. the camera has a macro 1:5x zoom, I assume as im looking at it. he has 3 rolls of film so we were thinking about going out soon, then in the morning and then a afternoon and trying the different light. Does that sound like a good idea? I really have no clue

Hey Nic! Glad to help you out a bit, looks like you had a great handle on what needed to be done without my meddling! I think you did great work! That first shot especially works very well for me. Good luck the rest of the weekend shooting, great start! Look for more of those isolation type shots, the fence post, the lone tree, etc. Make sure you post some more when you are finished on Monday! Oh and enjoy the time with your dad, its great he is interested in what you can do together and so willing to help you with project he is a little unsure of. Believe me, we parents have all been there!
