PikeBayCommanche
Hey blocking is part of racing, especially on super speedway, restrictor plate tracks. JR should have just laid off for a sec more and fell right back in behind Vickers and taken him off the next turn. Instead he wrecked him. Sifty
At 189 Mph 1 inch (the distance of the hit on vickers bumper) would go by in less then 1/4 of a second.Sifty
Uncle Bill
"Paybacks are a B****!" All I saw were a bunch of Toyotas and Fords getting wrecked, so not all was lost. Also wrecked his teammate jj. If that was "payback", how'd that work out for hms ? 27 and 31 place finishes.
TNFL
Jr. was pathetic most of the day, this instance was no exception. There really is no other way to look at it, unless you are really really delusional.Congrats to Matt Kennseth winner of the "2009 Daytona 380"! Easy to be an arm chair QB. It wasn't intentional but I do believe it was all his fault. They just had a bad day all around!
Wanderer
Jr. was in a parrallel universe yesterday. Many people seemed like this season snuck up on them and they weren't quite ready for it. Even FOX.
fishinchicks
Hubby was happy that Kenseth won, but bummed that the race was so anticlimatic. From our perspective, both Vickers and Jr were to blame for the wreck. It looked to us that Vickers initiated contact with the block, and got a little loose. If Vickers lets off the gas to control his car, Jr would have had to brake pretty hard to avoid hitting him. As fast as they were going, it wasn't going to be good no matter what Jr did. Neither one of them were using their brains on that deal. On the other hand, there was loud cheering and lots of high fives when Kyle was taken out.
