Gun Patterning

I hunted Turkry last year for the first time. I did not pattern my gun. Big mistake. Where in the south metro can I pattern my gun?

Look up Dakota County Gun Club near Rosemont.

Also look up the Oakdale Gun Club in Lake Elmo. They usually let non-member shoot on weekends. Not sure what thier Winter/Spring schedule is though. You may want to call whomever you decide to go to and make sure that they allow shotgun patterning on thier rifle ranges.

Caribou Gun Club in Le Sueur.

Last year there was a group of FM'ers that gathered to sight in their turkey guns.

That might be a good option again this year if someone has a location. Each brings a box of shells for each to try out so nobody needs to make a huge investment to find out what works best in their gun.

Last year DonBo, Powerstroke and myself got together and shot at my in laws in Jordan, we can probably do something like that again as it gets closer. It was a great time.

I know I plan on heading out to the farm again if you'll have us. Me and Waitforit got drawn as a group and he hasn't hunted shotgun for turks before so we will need to pattern his gun for sure.
